Dopaze ("we", "our", or "us") provides a productivity platform that includes a browser extension and a web-based dashboard designed to help users stay focused, block distractions, and track productivity over time.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use Dopaze. By using Dopaze, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
This Privacy Policy applies to:
• The Dopaze browser extension • The Dopaze web application (dashboard, tasks, analytics) • Any associated services, APIs, and infrastructure
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide and improve Dopaze's functionality.
Account & Authentication Information: Email address, authentication tokens / session identifiers. We do not store plaintext passwords when using secure authentication providers.
Focus & Session Data: Session start and end times, session duration, session state (active, paused, completed), attempts to access blocked sites, number of blocked websites.
User Configuration Data: Blocked websites/domains, focus mode preferences (strict / non-strict), session duration preferences.
Tasks & Productivity Data (Web Dashboard): Tasks (title, category, priority, duration), task status (pending, completed, archived), goals and focus targets, productivity metrics (streaks, scores, completion rates).
Analytics & Insights Data: Daily and weekly focus time, session trends and streaks, completion vs abandonment ratios, productivity score calculations.
Technical Data: Browser type and version, extension version, device type (general, non-identifiable), error logs (non-personal).
3. What We Do NOT Collect
Dopaze is built with a strict minimal-data philosophy.
We do NOT collect:
• Full browsing history • Content of websites you visit • Keystrokes or typing data • Personal files or device data • Sensitive personal data (health, financial, etc.)
We only interact with websites that you explicitly add to your block list.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your data strictly to operate Dopaze:
• Enable and enforce website blocking during sessions • Maintain session timers and state • Sync your data between extension and dashboard • Provide analytics and productivity insights • Save your preferences and configurations • Improve reliability and performance
We do NOT use your data for:
• Advertising • Selling user profiles • Behavioral tracking outside core functionality
5. Data Storage
Local Storage (Extension): Stored in your browser. Includes blocked sites, session configuration, and temporary session state.
Cloud Storage (Dashboard & Sync): If you use an account, we store session history, tasks and productivity data, analytics data, and account information. Stored securely using trusted infrastructure providers.
7. Permissions Transparency (Extension)
Dopaze uses browser permissions only for its core purpose:
• Storage: Save preferences and session data • Tabs: Detect and block user-defined websites • Scripting: Apply blocking logic to selected sites • Alarms: Manage session timers
No permissions are used for tracking unrelated user activity.
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard safeguards:
• Secure HTTPS communication • Authentication controls • Access restrictions • Encrypted data storage where applicable
While we take strong precautions, no system is completely secure.
9. Data Retention
We retain data only as necessary:
• Local data remains until extension removal or manual clearing • Account data remains until deleted by the user or upon request
10. Your Rights & Control
You remain in full control:
• Edit or delete blocked websites • Manage or delete tasks • Start/stop sessions at any time • Delete your account and data

11. No Unnecessary Tracking
Dopaze does NOT:
• Monitor browsing outside blocked domains • Track behavior unrelated to focus sessions • Collect background activity data
All tracking is limited to user-initiated sessions.
12. Children's Privacy
Dopaze is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Updates will be posted on this page. Continued use means acceptance.
